Preseason Testing Underway!

Preseason Testing has officially kicked off and if the tests are any indication the 2009 season looks to be one close competition and great racing. Steve Buhala topped the speed charts in his BBC Racing Dodge with a lap time of 46.321. That wasn't the only surprise of the 45 minute session as 3 time defending Camping World Truck Series Champion Jim Foose brought out an unmarked #33 truck and clocked in with the second fastest lap of the session. Next week the Camping World Trucks host two sessions, Monday at Chicagoland Speedway and Wednesday at Daytona International Speedway.

2009 Opens in style!

The ASRS Outlaw Paintshop All American Series hit the track for the first time in 2009 and put on an action packed event. On a brand new track for the first time the drivers made it look natural as they raced side by side and battled door to door. For one driver it meant sweet victory, while for others it ended in excitement. After batteling nearly the entire race, Jim Foose gave Jake Morris a slight nudge with seven laps to go and went on to score the first win of 2009. Morris dropped to third after contact with Nicholas Teto resulted in a spin on the final lap, allowing Steve Buhala to drive by for 2nd place. When the record books reflect on the MW Racecars 100 at Sandusky Speedway, it will show six lead changes among four drivers, four cautions and race winner Jim Foose led all but 23 laps en route to victory, what it won't show is the side by side action that took place nearly the entire race for every position.

With just two races remaining in the ASRS Outlaw Paintshop All American Series Winter Heat season, the points battle is heating up, with Foose gaining 20 points on Justin McLeod for a 35 point lead.

If the action at Sandusky is any indicator of how the 2009 season will be, you won't want to miss it. Side by side, excitment filled racing is what ASRS is all about. With only four cautions slowing the field during the MW Racecars 100, ASRS is the cure for the common league. Come check it out! www.americansimracing.com
