ASRS Cup Series to Kick off with Shootout!

The ASRS Cup Series season will kick off a week earlier than expected with the non-points ASRS Shootout event on Monday, February 8th at Daytona International Speedway. The ASRS Shootout will be filled with drivers who won ASRS sanctioned races in 2009 and former ASRS Champions. In all 21 drivers are eligible for the ASRS Shootout through that criteria, plus one lucky driver will be given a starting position in the Shootout by winning the Speedway Action Images Challenge, a 10 lap all out brawl just prior to the start of the ASRS Shootout. The Speedway Action Images Challenge is open to all 2010 ASRS members not already qualified for the ASRS Shootout.
Cup Cars to race Monday, February 8th at Daytona

The ASRS Shootout will be 30 laps (75 miles) and will utilize all ASRS Cup Series rules including Double File Restarts “Shootout Style”, caution credit rule, the yellow line rule and the no bump drafting in the turn rule.

Drivers MUST gain approval prior to competing in the Shootout. Only 2010 ASRS members will be permitted to compete!
